I have to wear compression knee highs due to CVI (chronic venous insufficiency), diagnosed about 18 months ago. My vascular doc sent me off with a prescription for custom made knee highs (exorbitantly expensive!). The medical technician suggested that I look at over-the-counter socks in the same mmHg compression (my doctor had prescribed 18-20 mmHg), and since I now had my measurements, I, of course, came to Amazon to try a few different brands.These Activa 15-20mmHg work great but even better, they FIT!! I'm medium-tall (5'8"), and ... Junoesque (a polite way of saying I'm sporting a little more real estate and tonnage than I probably should), so finding socks that work can be a challenge. With 12.5" ankles and 19" calves, and women's 11W shoe size, I ordered the XL version of these. The fit is perfect! I use a "donner" to help get them on (bad back, long story), and once on, they're totally comfortable all day. No "bunching," no pinching, no sliding down, nothing. Just nice snug fit.I wash them by hand at night when I take them off, and they're in a "rotation" with 4 other pairs of socks, so I don't wear the same pair every day. The reasonable cost and nice look/feel mean I'll be ordering a couple more pairs of these, as they fit better than some I've tried (I now have 3 brands that really work well for me).One thing I've learned (and this applies to all compression stockings): make sure the heel is in the right place. That can make all the difference in terms of comfort and fit. Socks like these are designed to be loose at the toe, so you make even have a "floppy bit" at the toe end. Not a problem as long as the heel is in the right place.Overall, in terms of comfort, fit, and (so far) durability, solid 5 stars.
