I fell in love with these shoes when they arrived. The match my dress almost perfectly. What I didn't realize is that the picture doesn't give the height of the heel justice. I thought these were around the same height as my beloved 3 inch platforms. Imagine my surprise when I discovered they were a towering 5 inches upon arrival. That may not be an issue for most, but I'm a semi novice high heel wearer whose a tad bit accident prone. Most of my heels have straps for safety purposes. I don't have much of a heel so these did not want to stay on my foot properly without some sort of modification. 1 week and many moleskin pads and heel grips later, I have finally gotten these shoes modified to be worn as safely and comfortably as possible. I can actually walk in them the proper way now that it doesn't slip off my heel and my toes are no longer scrunching forward. I look forward to wearing them with my outfit to the banquet I'm going to. Other than the pads I had to add, I'm very satisfied with these heels. They look much more expensive than what I paid. Give these a try. Just be prepared to add cushions and/or heel grips for a better fitThe color combo for Black Velvet is very nice and unique. The heel height is pretty extreme on these (measures 5 and 3/4 inches from the seam on the back of the heel to the floor) at just shy of 6 inches they will definitely put you on the balls of your feet and will pinch the toes, so some form of padding is recommended. These are definitely a case of buy for looks instead of comfort, but at the price of $12.99 these are shoes one can easily afford to wear for those special occasions and look great without feeling like you have to wear them all the time to justify some ridiculous pricetag. The bottom line is that these are great for having a unique pair for special occasions without breaking the bank, but if you are looking for more regular wear then go with something else that has a lower heel.These are good shoes. If you want to have platform stilettos these are shoes to get. the toe is a little cramped, but that is probably from gravity. The only issue I would say is that the inside of the shoe starts to crack fairly quickly. Shouldn't effect anything other than the appearance of the inside of the shoe. Overall good shoes!The color is a gorgeous camel -soft and delicate looking. They are definitely not the most comfortable pair of heels that you'll own, but if you need them for an event where you'll be sitting down mostly these are great. It's been a while since I bought these and mostly wear them to work only where I'm at a desk for most of the part. I did wear them to a night out a coupole of times but was not able to dance in them very long -though I imagine that mighty also be because they were slightly too snug (my toes were pushing against the edge of the shoes). So I'd say but a half size up and that might help with that issue. I kept them because they are so beautiful and will be wearing them for events where I know I'm not on my feet much.Would have given 5 stars but the box in came in looked like it was thrown off a bridge and one shoe was scuffed, so I had to cleanCompré esos 3 pares de zapatos. Thank you so muchI was actually a little concerned over the height, but once I started walking around in them it was like how I normally walk in heels. I bought these to wear to a wedding and I do believe that they will be perfect and not to painful to wear all day. I am quite pleased with the size (I wear anywhere between a 8 1/2 to 9 and ordered a 9 to be on the safe side) and the fit. It's not too narrow like some heels I have had, but also not too wide where the foot is sliding around. I definitely will be looking into ordering more shoes like these!
