I wg 140 & 5'4. Put on wgt lately, but have flat belly, hold wgt in legs & butt. I wanted something loose-ish to sleep in, bought lgt gray, not usually forgiving color. I thought these not only fit perfect but also look cute enough to wear out. They are about mid-rise, with wide waistband. You could pull it down for a lower rise pant. I haven't actually worn them, I know people say drawstring is decorative only. I could have even gone small, so for skinny people these could be too loose. I was pleasantly surprised w pant and It's a forgiving style. Of course this is just my opinion everyone has different shapes. Hope this helps REVISION; Ok have to revise my feedback. I washed these pants, shrank 1full size, no longer forgiving color , no longer cute. They didn't soften up in wash, they were stiff, but I thought they pressed them. They are 90%cotton. These pants are now just OK , I'll wear 4 sleeping only but nt even soft. Price is inexpensive and I if ur thin lighter colors should look fine. Any extra curve recommend darker color and order up. They will shrink. I wear a 6 ladies and 9 juniors . Hope this was helpful. Of course this is just my experienceThese are so cute! I just got a navy and a light steel pair and then ordered the jasper color. Interesting how they fit though. From the reviews I expected them to be a little roomy, which I like. I don't want them to fit tightly so these are perfect. One thing though is that the navy pair is definitely more roomy than the light steel and I think it's because the blend is 50/50 in the navy and 90/10 in the steel color. BTW, I can wear an 8 if I want them fitted or a 10 if I don't so I ordered the M size. When I first tried them on though before washing them, the navy pair almost fell off but I figured it would shrink a little when I washed them, which they did just a touch. They are both extremely comfortable and I can already see myself living in these this summer! Put all that with the price and they become a total winner for me. Oh, I also didn't really care for the cosmetic tie in front so I cut that off and you can't even tell anything is missing.
